Conquering the Alexandra Arch, Henderson Waves & Southern Ridges with Viv (7th Dec 2008 Sun)

Never did I expect to spend more than 2 hours just by walking the nature reserve of Singapore and it has happened. Thanks to Viv for this form of exercise.

We started our journey around 1706hrs, as the conservative me, I have my survivor pouch with me which consists of 2 mineral water, cellphone, torch light, small knife & wallet with cash (which may be use to buy your way out of the place with the help of the local monkey...haha..just kidding).

All in all, it was a fun, sweaty and enjoyable walk from Alexandra way all the way to Vivo. We stopped in between to take a min photo. (in this pic, we were halfway through Henderson Bridge I think & Viv is looking up into the sky, dun know y..haha) and our first major stop was @ the hawker centre. There, we ordered sugarcane drink before we took the main road back to Alexandra where the car was parked. As we were all wet from the walk, we took our towel and fresh clothings and head to the toilet for a quick towel wash. I was fortunate enough that I found a shower room, hence, had a real shower and feeling fresh and energise after that, but poor Viv do not have any shower room in the ladies of Little Bali.

We actually make a reservation @ Little Bali for dinner, as we were earlier and the table that Viv wanted was being used @ the moment, we went to another table to sit and wanted to order some drinks to cool ourselves. As it was a one for one kind of promotion, ask the waiter for it, but to my dismay, according to his explaination, the one for one promo = 1 person only. Meaning to say one person order one but get to drink two, if you got two persons, you need to order two for two free which I find it ridiculous. Who is the world can tell me I have to drink so much? You know, if I am a lousy drinker who can only hold a glass of beer and with a friend, can't I offered the other one to my friend? Whatever it is, I totally do not accept this explanation. I guess Viv noticed that I a bit (Boh Song) abt this, suggested that we go to BOZEIT @ VivoCity instead so we went to them and cancelled our reservation and drive down to Vivo.

It was a blessing in disguise. @ BOZEIT, we had a wonderful time over there. The food was overall good and the wine that she ordered.. Wow.. it was fantastic. Handpick by the wine expert in German and specially import to this restaurant here and most importantly, the company I had was marvelous.

After dinner, we decided to check out the laska steamboat place. We were captivated by the smell of the gravy when we stepped in. It smells great and that will probably the next makan place that we will head to.

As our tummy is still full with German food and wine, therefore, just bought a can of green-tea and sat on their swing to rest.

All in all, it was one of the enjoyable and fun filled Sunday we had.
